Ethnic-minority children, such as Latino youths, present a particularly attractive target to food marketers because of their increasing population size, spending power, and media exposure, according to research by Salud America!.

Salud America! is a Latino childhood obesity research network funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and directed by the Institute for Health Promotion Research at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, the team behind SaludToday.
